Seattle Weekly blogger Hanna Raskin reported a new project called Stockbox funded by Kickstarter, which turns small containers into grocery stores.
The article "Teeny Tiny Grocery Store Now Open in Delrodge Parking Lot"
highlights a new concept for infill grocery and fresh produce distribution using mobile stores constructed from shipping containers.
The possibilities both for urban and rural locations are endless.

DIY Used Cargo Homes & Shipping Containers
Dornob is a website which features daily design ideas. The recent article about shipping container plans highlights ideas by Canadian designer Keith Dewey. Keith is the owner of Zigloo.ca, and lives in a home which was built with shipping containers. His innovative design concepts for including containers in commercial and residential applications runs the range of a basic modern home all the way to a futuristic underground condo design.
